- How long does it take the dj to set up?
Depending on what size sound system you have chosen for your event set up time can be as little as 20 minutes to a few hours. The more equipment is needed and the further from a loading area the longer it will take to set up and break down. We usually try to arrive 90-120 minutes before the start of the event to set up and sound check.
- Will the dj take requests?
It is completely up to the person in charge. We can take requests or we can say "no requests" depending on your call.
- What kind of styles can you cover?
We can cover a wide variety of styles from standard wedding classics to electronic dance music to 80's & 90's to latin and dubstep. We have several djs on staff that all have 10+ years of professional dj experience and they are good at what they do.
- How early should we book?
Because our djs are in high demand we strongly encourage you to book your event as soon as possible. A 50% deposit is required to lock in the date.
- Does the dj take breaks?
From start time and end time there will be no break in music. There will always be music playing regardless if the dj had to grab a bite or if nature calls.
- Do you do kid / teen parties?
At this time we are not doing children or teen events.
- How interactive will the dj be?
By nature our djs tend to be more of a soundtrack creator than an MC. Other than normal wedding announcements we will not get on the mic to hype the crowd unless you specifically request that.
- Can we meet before hand?
Absolutely. If you'd like to meet in person and you are in the New Orleans / Baton Rouge area we can very easily meet with you to discuss what you want and more importantly what you don't want.
- Will you play from my play list?
Absolutely. We can play completely to your liking. We can play only from a song list that you give us (song lists need to be submitted a min. of 15 days before event date).

Djs are a dime a dozen these days, but be careful! Just because someone owns dj equipment doesn't mean they know what they are doing.
It takes a tremendous amount of practice to get to the 'professional' dj level. Knowing how to read the crowd and play songs for everyone is something that takes years of experience to master.
While track selection is a huge part of being a talented dj, being able to seamlessly mix songs together is something entirely different. Good mixing skills takes years to master and allows the music to flow from one song to the next without dead air or abrupt cut ins.
Our dj's can raise and lower the energy in a room without the audience realizing what is happening.
